He earned his doctoral degree from the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he graduated as valedictorian. Afterward, he completed his internship in podiatric surgery at Hahnemann University Hospital, affiliated with Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. His last two years of residency were completed at Long Island Jewish Forest Hills, a hospital affiliated with the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, where he served as chief resident.
